Adam Carrol (A.C.) Sellers, 82, of Albany, GA, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at St. John's Episcopal Church with Rev. Jim Clendinen officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery near Vada, Georgia. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Mr. Sellers was born October 12, 1925 in Vada, GA, the son of Adam Clark Sellers and Eliza Bell Hansell Sellers. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army as a Sergeant. Mr. Sellers was a former shoe salesman and owned and operated Hi-Style Outlet clothing stores for many years. He was a member and former Deacon of St. John's Episcopal Church. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice S. Darley, and a granddaughter, Candice Sellers. Survivors include his son, Scott Sellers and wife Barbara of Fishersville, VA; his daughters, Carolyn S. Wallace and husband Butch of Columbia, SC and Linda S. Barnes of Sumter, SC; three sisters, Christine S. Harrell of Bainbridge, GA, Cathryn S. Soski and husband Leon of Kingmond, AZ, and Billie Merle Eidson of Thomasville, GA; three grandchildren, Kathy Cogar of Dallas, TX, Heather Muller and husband Rich of Moore, SC and Michelle Boone and husband Phil of Charlotte, NC; one great-grandson, Tyler Muller of Moore, SC; and his loving companion, Alice Street of Perry, GA.
