Adell Whiddon

Mrs. Adell Barber Whiddon, 88, of Bainbridge, GA passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy A. Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Whiddon was born May l 1, 1918 in Bainbridge, GA. She was a nurses aid at Bainbridge Memorial Manor and a member of Calvary Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Harvey P. Cox . Survivors include three sons, Bennie Tharp of Bainbridge, GA, David Tharp of Greensboro, FL.,and Mickeral Tharp of Birmingham, AL.; a daughter, Mary Frances Blair of Bainbridge, GA.; three brothers, Evans Barber, William L. Barber, and Nelson Barber, all of Bainbridge, GA.; four sisters, Mildred Sapp, Sara Bellflower, Irene Spooner and Juanita Talbert, all of Bainbridge, GA.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
