Mrs. Agnes Burdeshaw Tate passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Harvest Assembly of God Church in Bainbridge, Georgia. Rev. Malcolm Parker will officiate. Andy Tate, Duane Tate, Bo Kent, Jared Long, Levi Dunn, and Jack Newberry will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday, March 16, 2012, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Agnes Burdeshaw Tate was born January 25, 1920, in Malone, Florida, to Archie and Matilda Burdeshaw. She was married to James Alvin Tate. Mrs. Tate was a wonderful pastor's wife and Sunday School teacher. Agnes loved to sew, read, and quilt. She was a member of Harvest Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Tate is survived by her sons, Randy Tate and wife, Elaine of Springfield, Missouri and Michael Tate and wife, Judy of Venus, Florida; her daughter, Carolyn Alday of Bainbridge, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Helen Tate of Bainbridge, Georgia, 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James Terry Tate, sister, Alice Wilkerson, and great grandchild, Nicholas Tate. Memorial donation may be made in her honor to Harvest Assembly of God Church, 2222 Dothan Road, Bainbridge, Georgia 39819.
