Alice Pearl Johnson, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Box 7009, Bainbridge, GA 39818.Alice Pearl Johnson was born March 24, 1933 in Whigham, GA, the daughter of William Elbert Johnson and Abbie Jones Johnson. She lived most of her life in Decatur County and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Alice Pearl was a very caring person. Many in our community received special attention at Memorial Hospital and Manor where she worked as a nursing assistant for more than thirty years. Some probably swapped fishing stories with Alice Pearl and, no doubt, she always told of the big one that got away.Survivors include her siblings, Marolyn Reeves and Virginia Colston both of Tallahassee, FL and Virgil Johnson of Kendall, FL.  Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Merle Cloud; and her brothers, Milton Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Carl Johnson, Billy Johnson and Hugh Johnson.
