Alma Curry Scott, 88, of Climax, GA, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Poppell and Mr. Hugh Curry, Jr. officiating. The service will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham, GA with her nephews serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home. She was a graduate of Whigham High School, Class of 1941 and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Major B. Bruce and Ulyssis S. "Scotty" Scott. Survivors include her daughter, Rita B. Campbell and her husband H. T. "Jim" of Savannah, GA; her brothers, Hugh Curry and his wife Virginia of Climax, GA and Curtis Curry of Bainbridge, GA; her sisters, Doris Hobbs and her husband Foy of Climax, GA and Rachel Tate of Calera, AL; her grandsons, Harry Campbell, Jr. and his wife Dennise of Pooler, GA and Byron Campbell of Savannah, GA; and her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Kaitlyn, and Emilie.
