Alvin Eidson

Alvin H. (Junior) Eidson, Jr., 73, of Bainbridge, GA passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2007 at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Dane Eidson and Rev. David Grubbs officiating with Jerry Eidson, Benjamin Eidson, Jordan Cox, Jacky Grubbs, Hal Worthington and Roger Keaton serving as active pallbearers and Raymond Miles, Bill Keene, Adolph Brock, Bobby Grubbs, Marion Grubbs and "the morning coffee group" serving as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with masonic graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home. Mr. Eidson was born June 19, 1934 in Mitchell County, GA to the now late Alvin H. Eidson and Mattie Lou Godwin Eidson. He married Peggy Weaver on May 21, 1954. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was the owner/operator of Junior's Pest Control. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Bainbridge Lions Club, Orion Lodge # 8 F. & A. M., Hasan Shrine Temple, Bainbridge Shrine Club, and the Southwest Georgia Board of Realtors. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hilda Landrum. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Weaver Eidson of Bainbridge, GA; his sons, Dane Eidson and wife Delores of Bainbridge, GA, Wally Eidson of Bainbridge, GA, and Ricky Eidson of Brinson, GA; his daughter, Cindy Walker and husband Greg of Bainbridge, GA; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Eidson, Nathan Eidson, Jerry Eidson, Ashley Bearden, Paige Cox, Jordan Cox, and Chrystal Eidson; and five great-grandchildren, Nina Bearden, Zack Bearden, Landon Eidson, Kate Eidson, and Keith Eidson.
