Amanda Shepard King, 33, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy McQuaid officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Climax, GA with Bob Rich, Larry Lennard, Rodger Robinson, Alton Brock, Chad Widner, and Ken Shepard serving as active pallbearers. Amanda was born February 18, 1975 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Danny and Sandra Jones Shepard. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1993 and attended Bainbridge College. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Church. Survivors include her husband, Darrell Wayne King of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Johnathan King and Jacob King, both of Bainbridge, GA; her father, Danny Shepard of Climax, GA; her brother, Daniel Shepard of Camilla, GA; three sisters, Deena Shepard of Iron City, GA, Angela Shepard of Climax, GA, and Leigh Middleton of Climax, GA; and her paternal grandmother, Dollie Dean Jones of Climax, GA.
