Anita Claire Rogers, age 78, passed away very early on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025, at her home in Climax, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Climax Baptist Church, Climax, Georgia. The Rev. Steve Poppell will officiate.

Anita Claire Cronk was born June 20, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Russell Cronk and Marguerite Mitchell Cronk Plitnick. Anita grew up in Milford, Connecticut. She married John Rogers, who has preceded her in death. Anita adored horses and loved music. After the death of her husband, she moved to Florida to be near her mother. They later moved to Climax, Georgia. She was a devoted member of Climax Baptist Church. Anita enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a good mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor. She leaves many friends and family that will dearly miss her.

Anita Rogers is survived by her mother, Marguerite Plitnick of Climax; children, LeAnn Rogers of New Britain, Connecticut and John Rogers, Jr. of Grand Junction, Colorado, siblings, Lynne Bashura (George) of Seymour, Connecticut and Steve Cronk (Carol) of Matthews, North Carolina; granddaughter, Josephine Rogers; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and father.
