Anne Wells

Anne O'Hara Wells passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 8, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Grubbs and the Rev.Devid Rich will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Anne was born October 4, 1918 in West Point, Georgia, to Barney Maston O'Hara and Kate Ragsdale O'Hara. She married Ross Jackson Wells. They were married over 50 years before his death in 1997. Anne O'Hara Wells is survived by her children, Melodee (JoDee) Henry and husband, Buster, of Quincy, Florida, Barbara Dukes and Billy Wells, both of Bainbridge, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; 7 great- great- grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Judy Austin.
