Mrs. Annie Imogene Bonner Cooper died Friday, July 29, 2011, at her home in Recovery, Georgia. A graveside service will be held 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2011, Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bainbridge, Georgia. Rev. Wayne McDonald will officiate. Annie Imogene Bonner was born June 29, 1926 in Parrish, Alabama, to Sidney Ray and Willie Morris Bonner. She moved to Decatur County, Georgia in 1975. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Recovery Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. For many years, she was a cook at Wingate's Lodge. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her children: Virginia Ray Combs and husband, Robert Valentine, of Melbourne, Florida; Gerald Wayne Hatcher and wife, Tamara, of Recovery, Georgia; Jerry Cooper and wife, Ann, of Recovery, Georgia; and Mike Cooper and wife, Peggy, of Sycamore, Florida; grandchildren: Wayne Combs of Texas, Ray Combs of Melbourne, Florida, Randy Combs of Texas, Tracey McClelland of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Michael, Hatcher of Recovery, Sidney Hatcher of Recovery, Brady Hatcher of Recovery, Michael Cooper of Nevada, Tony Cooper of Bainbridge, Kenneth Cooper of Georgia, Nathan Cooper of Mobile, Alabama, Rachel Harris of Sycamore, Florida, and Asher Snyder of Melbourne; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Donations may be made in Mrs. Cooper's honor to the American Cancer Society, 323 Pine Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701.
