Mrs. Arminda Long Hunt, 88, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Black Jack Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Jones and Reverend David F. Long, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery with her nephews serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Hunt was born April 15, 1919 in Decatur County, GA to the now late William Nudie Long and Donnie Elizabeth Daughtry Long. She graduated from West Bainbridge High School and was a retired nutritional consultant with the Decatur County Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Georgia. She was a member of Black Jack Baptist Church where she served many years in the choir. An active genealogist, she spent countless hours sharing her family history. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. R. "Doc" Hunt, and three children, Dale Hunt, Dwight Hunt, and Brenda H. Villa. Survivors include her sons, Dan Hunt and wife Buffy of Deland, FL, and Ted Hunt of Douglasville, GA; and five grandchildren, Owen Hunt, Lacey Hunt, Danny Hunt, Amanda Villa, and Christina Villa.
