Audice Gay

Audice Lynn Gay, 84, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Cloud officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home. She was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was a retired telephone operator with 47 years of service with Southern Bell. Survivors include her son, Jerry Gay and his wife, Becky, of Hull, GA; her brothers, Lucien Lynn of Gainesville, FL and Howard Lynn of Tucker, GA; her grandchildren, Alex Gay, LeAnne Freeman, and Joey Wagner; and her great-grandchildren, Rosley Wagner and Jaycee Freeman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Gay; her brother, Clark Lynn; and her sisters, Ruby L. Ard, Helen L. Marsh, Mabel L. Nix, Lois W. Belcher, and Lillian L. Hunt.
