Funeral Services for Mrs. Lucile Williams, 86, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Allen officiating. Interment will follow in West Bainbridge Cemetery with Eddie Williams, Garrett Williams, Gerald Thompson, Wayne Gallups, R.L. Grimes Jr., and Brandon Gallups serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Williams was born January 16, 1923 in Baker County, GA to the now late Guerry and Judson Middleton Grimes. She was a seamstress at Dickies for 24 years and worked for United Plastics. She was a Foster Grandparent and a member of West Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams loved her family, shopping, and traveling. She passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, GA. She is survived by two sons; Jack (Wife Margarette) Williams of Bainbridge, GA and Larry (Wife Jan) Williams of Opelika, AL; one sister; Mary Suggs of Tampa, FL; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester C. Williams; two sons, Bud Williams and Bobby Williams; one daughter, Duane Gallups; two sisters, Ada Lee Grimes and Nan Thompson; and three brothers, Seab Grimes, Clayton Grimes, and Bill Grimes.
