Barbara Brown-Chaney

Mrs. Barbara Ann Brown Chaney passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011, at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Andy Glover will be officiating. Interment will be in Oak City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Barbara Ann Brown was born in Adel, Georgia on July 13, 1944, to Clarence Odell and Julia Montgomery Brown. She and her husband, Charles H. Chaney, have been married since 1973. Barbara was a waitress at the Gateway Restaurant in Donalsonville, Georgia for about 25 years. Mrs. Chaney is survived by her husband, Charles H. Chaney of Bainbridge; children: Marie Johnson Milligan and husband, Mark, of Bainbridge, Dana Chaney Roberts of Bainbridge, Crystal Godwin and husband, Robbie, of Donalsonville, Georgia, and Christopher Robert Chaney of Bainbridge; brother, James (Frank) Brown of Bainbridge; sister, Myrtle Lee Hurst of Bainbridge; and 8 grandchildren.
