Mrs. Barbara Jean Faircloth, formerly of Saint Clair Shores, MI, and recently of Troy, AL. passed away at Troy Regional Medical Center on May 22, 2026, at the age of 85. A visitation will be held at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge, GA. Friday, May 29th, 2026, from 4 to 6 pm. The graveside funeral service will be Saturday, May 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Delwood Baptist Church cemetery near Camilla, GA. Presided over by her nephew, Reverend Tim Dean. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 14th, a daughter of Milton Deloyd Faircloth, Sr. and Alice Drew; she was married to her husband William for 48 years. Barbara made her home in the Detroit metro area from 1962 until 2021, when she moved to Troy, Alabama, with her son, Dr. Patrick Faircloth, and then entered a memory care facility, now Serenity South, where she resided until she passed away. The Co-founder of Faircloth Manufacturing Company in Warren, Michigan, Barbara was the office manager and was the other half of the company's success.
Barbara was the widow of William A. Faircloth, Past Master of Jefferson Lodge #553F& A M. She was also a member of the Jefferson Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Barbara is survived by her son, Dr. Patrick Faircloth, Ph.D., (Laurel) of Troy, AL.; her morally adopted son, Joseph Ferrera (Laura) of Saint Clair Shores, MI; one sister, Margie Dean-Vaughn (Freddie) of Cairo, GA; seven grandchildren: William, James, Hiram, Caitlin, Valerie, Emily, and Joe Ellis; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Madalyn, Hannah, and Michael.
