Barbara Kay Murdock FolsomSeptember 24 1953 - December 13, 2023 Barbara Kay Murdock Folsom, age 70, passed away peacefully, December 13th, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023  at 5:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Malone, FL. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Kay was born September 24, 1953 in Donalsonville, Georgia , the daughter of Frank Murdock and Voncile Martin Murdock of Malone, FL.  She grew up in Malone, FL and attended Malone High School with the Class of 1971.  Kay worked many years as a barber and hairdresser in Malone, FL, Dothan, AL, and Montgomery AL.  On February 6, 1997, God transformed her life into His marvelous light.  Her favorite Bible verse was Luke 7:47. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and enthusiastically  researched ancestry.  She loved the Lord, her country, her family, and her friends.  Her cats, Peanut and Sam, were very close to her heart.  Kay was also a big supporter of the Republican Party. Survivors include her children, Keith Murdock and Rebecca Stone; her brother Rickey Murdock; and her cousins, Sandy Murdock and Rusty (Mary Carol) Murdock.  Kay was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Rena Coulette, Mark Murdock, and Mike Murdock; and a "special aunt", Kitty Murdock. The Murdock family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
