Mrs. Barbara Mauldin Thomas, 91, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne McDonald and Rev. Tommy Newberry officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax, GA with Alan Thomas, Jason Thomas, Burton Thomas, Wayne Swicord, Jarrett Thomas and Tyler Godbold serving as pallbearers. Mauldin and Iola Lee Powell Mauldin. She graduated from Cairo High School in 1935. She was a homemaker and a member of Climax United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Franklin Thomas. Survivors include three sons, Paul F. Thomas, Jr. and wife Sherry of Randalman, NC, Bob Thomas and wife Sandra of Climax, GA, and John R. Thomas and wife JoAnn of Jacksonville, FL; Four grandchildren Alan Thomas of Carrollton, GA, Jennifer Godbold of Jacksonville, FL, Jason Thomas of Jacksonville, FL and Jill Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; Six great-grandchildren, Burton Thomas of Carrollton, GA, Jenna Godbold of Jacksonville, FL, Jarrett Thomas of Carrollton, GA, Tyler Godbold of Jacksonville, FL, Jace Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, and Jacob Thomas of Jacksonville, FL.
