Barbara Todd

Mrs. Barbara Ann Howell Todd, age 61, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Panama City, Florida at Gulf Coast Hospital with her husband, children, and grandchildren by her side. Services for Mrs. Todd will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Rev. David Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Carter, Jeremy Holley, Miles Crager, Charles Avery, Jesse Mosley, Donnie Walker, Chris Waters, Stacy Smith, and Josh Phagan.

Barbara Ann Howell Todd was born on February 27, 1963 in Columbus, Georgia to Lawrence and Helen Howell. Anyone who knew Barbara would tell you that she had a heart of gold and would give you her last dollar to make sure you were taken care of. She became a nurse in 1998 and served the people of this community at Memorial Hospital and Manor as well as the Drug/Rehabilitation Center. She prided herself in taking care of her patients and their families. Barbara loved to shop on Temu, and you never knew what she might order. She was an avid wrestling fan and was always ready for the next event. Recently, she was able to attend NWA in Dothan, Alabama, and she had a blast. Vacationing didn’t happen as often as she would have liked it, but when it did, the beach was where she wanted to go. She loved her children, but nothing compared to the love she had for her grandchildren. They were the light in her world, and she made sure they knew it. With that being said, no one meant as much as her fur baby, Binksey. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene and loved the Lord.

Barbara Ann Howell Todd is survived by her husband of the last 15 years, Joshua Todd, Sr. She is also survived by her children Joseph (Beth) Barber, Julia (Wade) Hester, Jay (Miranda) Kimmins, Elvis (Gwen) Coddington, Belinda (James) Buck, and Joshua Todd, Jr.; her grandchildren, Mya Barber, Trinity Rykard, and Taylor (Alona) Brown; brother, Lawrence (Bubba) Howell, III, and nephew, Jordan Howell. Also, her former husband and father of two of her children, Benny Kimmins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Howell, Sr. and Helen Howell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to her children for final costs and expenses for her celebration of life.
