Barbara Walker

Mrs. Barbara Sue Austin Walker, age 58, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Barbara Sue Austin Walker was born October 9, 1956 in Thomaston, Georgia but raised in Buena Vista, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lt. (retired) Bob Austin and Ruby Barrett Austin. She was a homemaker, who achieved a degree in business after her children were grown. Barbara enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. She will be sorely missed by the family she loved. Barbara Walker is survived by her husband of 35 years, Derrick Kenneth Walker of Bainbridge; children, Derrick James (Jamie) Walker and wife, Kristy of Bainbridge; daughter, Sonja Michelle Walker of Bainbridge; sisters, Brenda Ann Brunson and husband, Marty of Ashford, Alabama and Angel Marie Watson and husband, Jason of Dothan, Alabama; brother, Benny Earl Austin of Bainbridge; 9 grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
