Beatrice Boyett

Mrs. Beatrice Knight Boyett, 90, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard and Rev. Donna Bevels officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at Ivey Funeral Home. Mrs. Boyett was born April 14, 1917 in Houston County, AL to the now late Sam Edward Knight and Johnnie Snead Knight. She graduated from Climax High School in 1936 and married Willie Gordon Boyett on January 21, 1939. She was a homemaker and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Janie Boyett Burger. Survivors include her son, Wayne Boyett of Bainbridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Doris B. and Charles Hart of Bainbridge, GA; a brother, Sam Knight of Mineral Wells, TX; three sisters, Mabel Martin of Bainbridge, GA, Esther Humphrey of Bainbridge, GA, and Joyce Clayton of Ft. Gaines, GA; five grandchildren, Charles Jason Hart, Brian Gordon Boyett, Tim Farmer, Dennis Farmer, and James Farmer; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Boyett, Conner Boyett, and Lynn Farmer.
