Benjamin Leroy Henderson, 53, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2015 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, FL.The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL 32308.Mr. Henderson was born July 4, 1962 in Troy, IL, the son of Everett Allen Henderson and Virginia Elizabeth Cobb Henderson. Ben grew up in California and in his late teens joined the military. In the early 1980s, Ben transplanted to Quincy, FL and later moved to Bainbridge. He enjoyed tinkering with things which led to his career in mechanics. Ben loved to ride his motorcycle and freely offered a helping hand to anyone in need. His happiest moments were spent exploring life while raising his daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Henderson.Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Henderson and her fiancé, Michael Ray Rentz III, of Bainbridge; his grandson, Michael Ray Rentz IV of Bainbridge; his mother and step-father, Virginia Elizabeth and Bernard Hemsath of California; his siblings, Terry Wilmarth of Ventura, CA, Garry Wilmarth and his wife, Laurie, of Santa Rosa, CA, Linda Conoly and her husband, Kevin, of Bainbridge, GA, Lester Henderson of New Orleans, LA, and Steve Henderson and his wife, Yvonne, of Dumfries, VA; and his nephews, Cory Week, Kyle Conoly, and Ty Conoly. Ben was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Gene Wilmarth and Leonard Wilmarth.
