Bernice Owens Durham, 69, of Brinson, GA, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Cemetery in Colquitt, GA with Ed Smith, Donnie Ray Miller, Gary Nichols, Steve Griffin, George Odom, H.L. Griner serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Durham was born April 18, 1938 in Decatur County, GA to the late Brewster Benjamin Johnson and Niza Middleton Johnson. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Randy Durham of Brinson, GA; two sons, R.B. Owens and wife Tina of Donalsonville, GA, and Darrell Owens of St. Petersburg, Fl; two sisters, Helen Palmetto of Donalsonville, GA, and Teri Hornsby of Iron City, GA; and a granddaughter, Paige Owens of Augusta, GA.
