Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Joyce Carroll will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home. The interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Betty Joyce Carroll, age 63, died in New Port Richey Fla. She is survived by her son, Ben Harmon Carroll; sisters: Grace Schmitt of Cerrillos, New Mexico, Alice Hurley of New Port Richey, Fla., and Mary Ann Patterson of Scottsboro, Alabama. She leaves a large extended family and many friends. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Hill Carroll from Bainbridge,Ga.; mother, Nonie Hollenbeck of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and a sister, Mae Smith, who was of Plant City ,Fl. Betty Carroll was a resident of Southern Pines Health Care in New Port Richey Fla. She lead an active and meaningful Christian life. Cox-Ware Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
