Betty Cowart

Betty Weste Cowart, age 67, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery. Betty was born April 13, 1954  in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Albert and Jeanette Nix Weste.  She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, class of 1973. Betty worked second shift as a ward clerk at Memorial Hospital and Manor for many years and was an amazing caretaker for her Mother, Jeanette. She was known as everybody's "Aunt Betty," and was a soft spoken woman with a heart of gold, that loved God and her family. She was a hippie at heart who loved sci-fi and rock and roll, even fairies and dragons. Her kind words and warm spirit will be greatly missed Survivors include her brother Steve Weste (Linda) of Brinson, GA; her niece, Felicia Inlow (Chad); her nephew, Kenny Weste; her great niece, Kyla Weste; and her great nephew, Ezra Weste.
