Elizabeth "Betty" Wagner Deck, 80, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at her residence. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Faceville Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy McNair, Rev. Kevin Deck, and Dr. Jim Corcoran officiating. Private interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at a later date. Mrs. Deck was born June 23, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey the daughter of John Joseph Corcoran and Elizabeth Wagner Corcoran. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield, NJ. Betty worked for several years as an accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and served as Secretary of the Ft. Lauderdale chapter of the National Association of Accountants. Mrs. Deck was a member of the Assemblies of God and while she and her husband, the Rev. Earnest Wagner, were serving in Ocala they were very instrumental in founding Marion Oaks Assembly of God. While in Bainbridge, Betty was active in Faceville Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. William Earnest Wagner and Mr. Cloid Udell Deck, her daughter, Patricia Eliash, and her brother, John J. Corcoran, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Thompson and husband Earl of Bainbridge, GA; three step-daughters, Louise Tyner and husband BJ of Senoia, GA, Sharon Owens and husband Mark of Gardendale, AL, and Renae Deck of Tampa, FL; her step-son, Rev. Kevin Deck and wife Janet of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Lorraine Gallucci and husband Len of Bainbridge, GA and Jacqueline Linville and husband Everett of Cornelius, NC; her brother, Dr. Jim Corcoran and wife Christine of Marana, AZ; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a special niece, Valerie Jean Gallucci of Bainbridge, GA.
