Betty Yvonne Wall Jauert, age 91, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia surrounded by her loving family. Services for Mrs. Jauert will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 13, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. The Rev. Julian Sims will officiate. The service will conclude in the chapel. Betty will be privately interred in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends an hour before the service, beginning at 2:00 pm.

Betty Yvonne Wall was born August 25, 1934, in Brinson, Georgia to John Thomas Wall and Willie Jeanette Edmunds Wall. Betty grew up in Decatur County and Macon, Georgia. After graduating from Miller High School in Macon, she married her husband for the next 71 years, Leon (Bud) Jauert. She and Bud welcomed 5 children into their lives. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bainbridge and the Hilda Byrd Sunday School class. She was a generous, kind person, always ready to help. From filling Samaritan’s Purse shoe boxes to sewing little girl dresses for the needy, she gave with her money and her time. She was a talented seamstress and worked many years at Janet’s Fabrics. Known as the “Cake Lady”, she has baked many a pound cake for people in town. Many times, she sold her wonderful baked goods to help fund mission programs at church. Betty and the family ran a restaurant at the Bainbridge Motel for many years. She was a hard worker, dedicated to the Lord and her family. Betty will be greatly missed.

Betty Jauert is survived by her husband, Leon (Bud) Jauert of Bainbridge; children, Brad Jauert (Julie) of San Antonio, Texas, Robin Jauert of Tallahassee, Florida, and Beth Jauert of Tallahassee; brother, Joe Overton of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Hope Musgrove, Buddy Musgrove, Kelly Musgrove, Kyle Musgrove, Crystal Kelly, Kyle Kelly, Jason Jauert, Jlyssa Burris, Renee Brock, Jamie Fortson and Jake Jauert. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Karen J. Kelly and Brenda Musgrove.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hilda Byrd Sunday School Class, First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 155, Bainbridge, Georgia 39818.
