Betty Donley Johnson, 74, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Phillips and Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Bobby Donley, Melvin Donley, Greg Rentz, Danny Rentz, Greg Gilbourn, Johnson Parker, Tom Johnson, Donnie Cleveland and Gene Powell serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Johnson was born September 11, 1935 in Colquitt, GA, the daughter of Coy Donley and Lovie Kelly Donley. She was a lunchroom worker for the Decatur County School System for twenty-one years, a seamstress for Dickies for ten years and a member of West Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. "Bill" Johnson; and two brothers, J. T. Donley and Hilton Donley. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra J. Harrell of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Billy Johnson of Pelham, GA and Tommy Johnson and his wife Lisa of Bainbridge, GA; a sister, Alice Miller of Castleberry, FL; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
