Betty Palmer Thomas, 86, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home, Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel, Union, SC. She relocated to Bainbridge in 1973 with her husband, Algie Haskell Thomas. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was shopping. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Thomas of Bainbridge; her siblings, Ronnie Palmer, Donald Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Dude Palmer all of Union, SC, Carl Palmer of Atlanta, and Catherine Jet of San Antonio, TX; her grandson, Garrett Hartzog and great-grandchild, Rylan C. Hartzog. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Mary Richardson, Oliver Palmer, James Palmer, Sonny Palmer, and Tom Palmer.
