Betty Williamson, 71, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeWitt Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.The family will receive friends immediately following the service. She was a graduate of Cook County High School. Betty married Darrell Williamson in 1984 and made her home in Bainbridge.She loved music and seemed to always have a radio nearby. Her favorite pastime was fishing. Betty was quick to let you know who caught the largest fish (and the most fish) on every trip.Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Darrell Williamson. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Lorin Dewayne "Skeet" Griffis; and her siblings, Charles Harrelson, Dorothy Stewart, Judy Ogletree and Ruth Byrd.
