Beverly Harvey Hartman, age 84 of Jakin, GA passed away at home on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Born on August 30, 1931, to the late John Quitman Harvey and Mattielu Branan Harvey of Jakin, GA, she was the fourth of five children. Beverly lived with her eldest sibling; Virginia Harvey of Jakin, GA. She is also survived by her youngest brother Doug Lewis Branan Harvey. Preceding her passing were her older brother Joseph Quitman Harvey and her older sister Elsie Marion Harvey Cannon. After graduating Donalsonville, GA's Seminole County High School in 1948, Beverly went on to Andrew College and Wesleyan College where she studied voice and piano. Later, Beverly taught music in Malone, FL.In 1953 she married the late Rev. Loyal Orlin Hartman Jr., and subsequently had two sons and two daughters. The eldest is Cynthia Lu Hartman (Cindy) Foster. Cindy married Dennis Alan Foster and had two children; Virginia Foster Bingham (married to Christopher Bingham) and Victor Alan Foster (married to Tricia Foster). Cindy and Dennis make their home in Bartlett, TN. Beverly Harvey Hartman's grandchildren from Cindy and Dennis' union are Jack Christopher Bingham, Kate Olivia Bingham, and Alan John Foster. Her second child Philip Thomas Hartman, married to Marty Jo Doris Hartman, resides in Goodlettsville, TN. Beverly's grandchildren from Phil and Marty Jo's marriage are Ainsley Jo Hartman and Avery Noelle Hartman. Beverly's third child was Elizabeth Hartman Capuson who passed away recently from Pancreatic cancer. Elizabeth married Thomas Carlton Capuson and they were blessed with a child, Addrienne (Addie) Elizabeth Capuson. Thomas and Addie both lived in Jakin, GA with Beverly. Beverly Harvey Hartman's youngest Loyal (Tres) Orlin Hartman III is married to LuAnne Bender Hartman and lives in Madison, AL. Beverly's grandchildren from Tres and LuAnne are Loyal (Ory) Orlin Hartman IV and Riley Louis Hartman. Beverly was many things: a Daughter, a Friend, a Church Choir Singer, a Pianist, an Aunt, a Preacher's Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, and a great Role Model. Widowed in 1980; Beverly worked in several jobs to raise her family and send all four children to college. All the while staying active in her children and grandchildren's lives. She was always active in her church and willing to go wherever God's Grace led. She valued relationships and people and forged deep friendships. She helped those in need and was glad to do it. She solo'ed in her church's choir and captivated the congregation with its beauty. She loved and was loved.
