Billy Bramblett

Billy E. Bramblett, 78, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Plowman Cemetery in Apison, TN with Dr. Leroy C. Spinks officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Bramblett was born December 6, 1931 in Apison, TN, the son of Dewey Edward Bramblett and Edith R. Wilson Bramblett. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Bramblett was a graduate of Ooltewah High School, Class of 1951 and was a retired plant manager for Union Oil Company's Southeast Terminal in Bainbridge. Bill enjoyed his family and working in the yard. He was a member of Apison Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 62. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Irene Bennett Bramblett of Bainbridge, GA; his daughters, Laura Hawk of Bainbridge, GA, Linda Scoggins and her husband Lewis of Cleveland, TN, Lorine Dean and her husband Larry of Chatsworth, GA, Lisa Boyd and her husband Terry of Vada, GA; his grandchildren, Lewie Scoggins, Jamie Lockwitz, Zach Scoggins, Matt Scoggins, Cody Boyd, Shane Hawk, Beau Hawk, Dalton Boyd, Morgan Bailey, Ty Boyd, and Jud Boyd; and his three great-grandchildren, Braden Scoggins, A. J. Scoggins, and Dallas Boyd.
