Bobby L. Brock, 74, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Delwood Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Lloyd Palmer, Lee Palmer, Paul Palmer, Brock Howard, Blake Howard, and Chase Jordan serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Bobby was born January 31, 1936 in Bainbridge, GA. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1953, and of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He owned and operated Woodbery Tractor Company for many years and was a member of Delwood Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. Bobby served on the Decatur County Board of Education from 1981 to 1986 and was a member of the Decatur County Farm Bureau. Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Lee Brock and Lucille Wooten Brock Avery. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, JoAnn Darley Brock of Bainbridge, GA; his daughters, Kay B. Palmer and her husband Bert of Tallahassee, FL, Leasa B. Howard and her husband Jay of Tallahassee, FL, and Nan B. Jordan and her husband Eddie of Bainbridge, GA; his brothers, Devon Brock of Camilla, GA, Billy Brock of Bainbridge, GA, Daniel Avery of Williamsburg, VA, and Andrew Avery, Jr. of Bainbridge, GA; and his nine grandchildren, Lloyd Palmer, Lee Palmer, Paul Palmer, Brock Howard, Blake Howard, Hannah Howard, Chase Jordan, Hallie Jordan, and Mallorie Jordan.
