C. L. "Slick" Morris, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Herriman officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Holt Morris, Don Hill, Chad Hill, Douglas Bailey, Kevin Morris, and Brad Morris serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Morris was born July 28, 1929 in Camilla, GA, the son of Barney James Morris and Ora Lee Keaton Morris. He was a retired mechanic for Engelhard Corp. and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Iva Bailey Morris of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Gary Morris and his wife, Joan, of Bainbridge, GA; his daughters, Cathy M. Reddel and her husband, Paul, of Lavonia, GA and Angela M. Evans and her husband, Allan, of Virginia Beach, VA; his brothers, Milton Morris and his wife, Nancy, of Americus, GA, Billy Wayne Morris and his wife, Dale, of Mulberry, FL, Bobby Morris of Bainbridge, GA, and Larry Morris and his wife, Virginia, of Bainbridge, GA; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Morris of Bainbridge, GA; his grandchildren, Don Hill, Amber M. Crum, Chad Hill, and Holt Morris; and his great-granddaughter, Laryn Crum. He was preceded in death by his brother, Benny Morris.
