Callie Kelley

Callie Sue Lewis Kelley, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Dawson and Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Bobby Grubbs, Jackie Grubbs, Alvin Bailey, Brian Parker, Tony Hamms, and David Harden serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday, November 28, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Kelley was born December 12, 1925 in Early County, GA, the daughter of Thomas William Lewis and Mattie Murkerson Lewis. She attended Early County High School and was a former nurse's assistant at Miller County Hospital and seamstress at Georgia Factory for the Blind. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Kelley. Survivors include her son, Jake Lewis of Bainbridge, GA; her daughter, Jeannie Giannars and her husband Pete of Bainbridge, GA; her sister, Mattie Grubbs Cato of Bainbridge, GA; four grandchildren, Pete Giannars, III and his wife Shannon, Jason Giannars, Stephanie Lewis, and Blake Lewis; and five great-grandchildren, Wil Giannars, Cecily Giannars, Emily Giannars, Morgan Giannars, and Allie Lewis.
