Calvin Dollar

Calvin E. Dollar, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. A private graveside service will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Pelham, GA with Dr. Kenneth Cloud officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Dollar was born April 30, 1925 in Grady County, GA, the son of Martin James Dollar and Bessie Clyde Dasher Dollar. He was a graduate of Pelham High School and served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Dollar was a retired insurance agent and manager with Liberty National Life Insurance Company and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Jenelle Richardson Dollar of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Calvin E. Dollar, Jr. and his wife Diana of Broken Arrow, OK; his daughter, Carolyn Glisson and her husband Allen of Bainbridge, GA; five grandchildren, David Dollar, Libby Rentz, Gina Guggisburg, Lori Luse and Jon Dollar and nine great-grandchildren.
