Carl Gardner, 62, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Gardner was born December 29, 1952 in Gainesville, FL, the son of Howard Carlton Gardner and Willie Mae Fussell Gardner. He was an equipment operator for the city of Bainbridge. Carl enjoyed being outdoors, especially riding motorcycles and fishing.He liked watching drag races, Nascar, football, and other sports. His grandchildren will always remember their trips to the model train shows.Survivors include his wife of over 34 years, Peggy Gardner; his children, Shawn Lafferty and Keith Lafferty and his wife, Ashley; his siblings, Ethel White and her husband, Donny, and Jack Gardner and his wife, Debra; and his grandchildren, Allie, Mason, Hayden and Davalyn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Gardner.
