Carl Harrison, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at New Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be Roy Schlabach, Dooly Powell, Bobby Joe Knight, Grant Williams, Ray Morrison, and Leon Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Morningside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010 Morningside Baptist Church. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Carl was born February 2, 1928 in Cottonwood, FL, the son of Joseph Lee Harrison and Mallie Mae Williams Harrison. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant with 30 years of service in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his son, Maj. Carl Michael Harrison, his daughter, Denise Harrison Woods, and his brother, Gordon Harrison. Survivors include his wife, Dollie Adams Harrison of Bainbridge, GA; three daughters, Debra H. Booth of China Lake, CA, Suzanne H. Brothers of New Orleans, LA, and Robin Harrell Locke and her husband Edward of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Chip Harrell and his wife Desiree of Bainbridge, GA; 19 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
