Carlottie Loyd Hand, age 90, passed away early Thursday morning, December 2, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Hand will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Tatum will officiate. Wayne Hand, Brad Clemons, Hunter Tindell, Al Miserak, Gary Loyd, and Rev. Scott Messer will serve as pallbearers. The funeral service will conclude at the chapel and the family will then greet friends. Mrs. Hand will be interred in Brinson Cemetery. Due to ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to wear protective masks and social distance in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. Carlottie Loyd Hand was born September 18, 1931, in Seminole County, Georgia. Her parents, Earnest Loyd and Cosetta Grant Loyd have preceded her in death. Carlottie married Travis Hand, Sr., who has passed away. She was a generous, loving person. A giver of her time and energy. Always ready to help. Mrs. Hand loved the Lord and Gospel music. She even wrote Gospel songs. Carlottie loved Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Andy Griffith. She was a wonderful cook and would keep you full of sweet, iced tea. She deeply loved her family, especially those grandchildren. Carlottie Hand will be sorely missed by her dear family and many friends. Carlottie Loyd Hand is survived by her children, Jimmy Hand and Larry Hand (Thelma) of Bainbridge, and Betty H. Clemons Smith of Lakeland, Florida; her brother, Buddy Loyd of Albany, Georgia; grandchildren, Wayne Hand (Stephanie) of Bainbridge, Jerry Hand of Foley, Alabama, Melissa Trotman of Bainbridge, and Brad Clemons of Bainbridge; great-grandchildren, William Hand, Katie Thomas, Cody Clemons, Casey Clemons, Austin Clemons, Kayla Hand, Tylan Trotman, and Brantley Clemons; great-great-grandchild, Kyle Willeby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandchildren, Travis Eugene Hand, Skyer Clemons, and Tyler Clemons. On-line condolences may be sent at www.Coxfuneral.net .
