Carolyn Boyett

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Carolyn Poitevent Boyett, age 76 of Attapulgus, GA will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Attapulgus Baptist Church with Bro Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Attapulgus City Cemetery with Larry Kennedy, Johnny Medley, Clowers Godwin, Lewis Hyatt, Gary McCarty and Brad Mathis serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Boyett passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Memorial Manor. She was born in Attapulgus October 30, 1933 the daughter of O.O. and Mary G. Poitevent. She graduated from Attapulgus High School then married Bobby Boyett March 29, 1952 in Attapulgus. Mrs. Carolyn was a member of the Attapulgus Baptist Church and was a member of the WMU. She enjoyed collecting what-nots, decorating and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years Bobby Boyett of Attapulgus; two sons Donald E. Boyett and wife Darby Wagner-Boyett of Attapulgus and Earl Boyett and wife Betty of Bainbridge; six grandchildren Lyle Boyett and wife Melissa, Kell Boyett, Mary Elizabeth Boyett, Matthew Boyett, Nicholas Boyett and Colby Boyett; one great grandson Luke Boyett; brothers-in-law Jimmy and Joyce Boyett of Weaverville, NC. Terry Boyett and Patsy of Lake Talquin, FL, Jerry and Rita Boyett of Bainbridge, GA; sisters-in-law Avis and Bill Bailey of Kissimee, FL and Sue and Rudy McKenzie of Attapulgus; four nieces and six nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Marcus Earl Boyett.
