Mr. Cecil C. (Jimmy) Heard, Jr., 66, passed away May 29, 2007 at his residence in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Steve Poppell officiating. Interment will follow at Cook Cemetery near Colquitt, GA with Chip Hall, Chris Hall, Jeff Heard, Adam Rentz, Eddie Bishop, Terry Tate, Macon Moore and Doug Young serving as active pallbearers. Heard and Inez Cook Heard. He was a retired mechanic and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn O'Kelley Heard of Bainbridge, GA; six children, Mark Heard of Bainbridge, GA, Eddie Heard of Bainbridge, GA, Cindy Heard of Las Vegas, NV, Jody Cook of Quincy, FL, Chris Cook of Bainbridge, GA, and Valerie Brumleelow of St. Marys, GA; his mother, Inez Cook Heard of Climax, GA; two brothers, Jerry W. Heard of Climax, GA and David E. Heard of Vada, GA; two sisters, Mary Jane Hall of Climax, GA, and Cathy Nelson of Hope Sound, FL; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
