Charles Bush

Charles G. Bush, 72, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Matthews officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery near Brinson, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home. Mr. Bush was born December 3, 1938 in Columbus, GA, the son of J. Felix Bush and Tiney May Bush. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, served in the Georgia National Guard, and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a retired Insurance Sales Representative with Liberty National Life Insurance Company and worked 13 years at Shaw Industries and the last five years at Wal-Mart. He was preceded in death by his brother, J. Felix Bush, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Bernice "Bea" Aldridge Bush of Bainbridge, GA; a daughter, Amy Barber and her husband, Michael, of Brinson, GA; a son, John Wheeler of Bainbridge, GA; his sister-in-law, Ruth Bush of Bainbridge, GA; his nephews, Craig Bush, Steve Bush, Tim Bush, and Brian Bush; and a special family friend, Larry Bates of Bainbridge, GA.
