Mr. Charles Edward (Ed) Sherred, age 71, of Cairo, Georgia passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Mr. Sherred was a patient in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at the Riders for Christ Cowboy Church, 1294 Union Hill Road, Pelham, Georgia. Pastor Teddy Williamson will officiate. Charles Edward (Ed) Sherred was born December 15, 1942 in Union City, Pennsylvania. His parents were Ronald A. and Alice A. Sherred. Ed was a talented paint and body man. He loved to restore antique cars. He was meticulous in his care and restoration. Ed was a member of the Riders for Christ Cowboy Church. He loved the Lord and loved his church family. One of his greatest joys was playing the bass guitar at his church. Ed Sherred is survived by his wife, Yvette Louise D. Sherred of Cairo; children, Steve Sherred and wife, Jenny of Mill Village, Pennsylvania,  Susan Sherred of Elmira, New York, and Stacy Weber and husband, Mark of Erie, Pa.; brother, Ronald Sherred and wife, Linda of Corry, Pa.; sister, Becky Potts and husband, Bill of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Casey Cook and wife, Michelle in Harbercreek, Pa., Corey Sherred in Mill Village, Pa., Marcy Martin and husband, Shon of Erie, Pa., Michael Weber of Erie, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Jane and Jacob Cook, Logan and Miranda Martin; nephews and niece, Jerry Sherred and Elisa Sherred of Corry, Pa., and Adam Potts, wife, Jessica and family, Abby and Lucy of Panama City, Florida; and faithful companion, Shot Gun.
