Cheryl Ilene ThomasNovember 28, 1949 - April 23, 2023 Cheryl Ilene Thomas, age 73, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023. The Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be at Attapulgus Baptist Church Cemetery. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Cheryl was born November 28, 1949 in Union, South Carolina the daughter of Algie Haskell Thomas and Betty Palmer Thomas. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School with the class of 1967. Cheryl worked at BASF for 34 years. She was also known for their involvement with the Needy Children and the Dogwood Festival through BASF. Survivors include her son, Garrett Thomas Hartzog and her grandson, Rylan Hartzog.  Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, 1250 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819. The Thomas family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
