Christian Burr

Mr. Christian L. Burr, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at his residence. The family will have a private memorial service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at his daughter's residence 145 Robin Lane, Bainbridge, GA 39819. Mr. Burr was born on October 19, 1924 to the now late Elmer Burr and Christine Ziegler Burr. He served with the United States Navy Armed Guard during World War II. He was a former owner of Clinton Plumbing Company and The Bottle Shop in Clinton, CT. Mr. Burr was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elk's Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta C. Burr. Survivors include two daughters, Susan McNeely of Ludlow, VT and Cinda Kouloungis of Bainbridge, GA; one son, Christian L. Burr, Jr. of Boston, MA; one brother, Edwin H. Burr of Clinton, CT; one sister, Jean Palfrey of The Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Timothy Backer, Jennifer Farris, Nick Kouloungis, and Andrea Kouloungis; and two great-grandchildren, Elliot Farris and Jessica Backer.
