Christine Boyett

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Barber Boyett, 81, of Climax, GA will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Terril Scott, Larry Barber, Jerome Barber, Chris Barber, Frank Bowen, and Preston Bowen serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held immediately following the service. Mrs. Boyett was born November 29, 1928 in Decatur County, GA to the now late Everett Isaac and Bertha Dorena Weddington Barber. She was married to William Franklin Boyett and lived all of her life in Decatur County. She was a retired seamstress and had worked for Jack Winter for twenty five years and retired from Cannons Cleaners in 2001. She loved sewing, flowers, farm life, and was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. She is survived by her brother; Therman Barber (the now late Annie Murl Josey Barber) of Brinson, GA; sister, Waldine (the now late Leroy) Scott of Brinson, GA; and two grandchildren, Frank Bowen of Atlanta, GA and Preston Bowen of Albany, GA. Mrs. Boyett was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Frankie Boyett Bowen.
