Christopher Howard

Mr. Christopher Eugene Howard, age 53, passed away very suddenly on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his home in Blakely, Georgia. Services for Mr. Howard will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, at Bethel Baptist Church, 29 Blakely Highway, Blakely, Ga. Mr. Josh Richards and Rev. Rawleigh Furney will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnny Avirett Family Cemetery. Trystin Howard, J. P. Love, Ronnie Suggs, Bobby Suggs, Jimmy Suggs, and Allen Leroy will serve as pallbearers. Michael Cashwell and Michael Hattaway will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00. Christopher Eugene Howard was born June 3, 1969, in Blakely to Eugene Howard and Shirley Ann Palmer Howard. Christopher never met a stranger and was always helping people. He was a talented diesel mechanic, working for Southern Ag Carriers. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Eldorendo Holiness Church. Christopher was married to the love of his life, Gail Suggs. He and Gail have 3 children. He deeply loved his children. Christopher coached softball, baseball, and football while his children were in school. He was never still; never took a break. Christopher loved to hunt, fish, and especially play golf. He had a great sense of humor and loved to pull a good prank. Somehow, he was always the center of attention. Christopher Howard will be deeply missed by his family and many, many friends. Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Gail Howard of Blakely; mother, Shirley Rainey of Ashford, Alabama; children, Adrial Cashwell (Michael) of Blakely, Trystin Howard (Natalie) of Dothan, Alabama; and Kaitlyn Howard of Blakely; sisters, Robin Howard of Ashford and Jeannie Hattaway (Michael) of Goshen, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
