Christy West

Mrs. Christy LeeAnn West, age 35, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, at Pine Forest Baptist Church, 104 Pine Forest Road, South of Climax, Georgia. The Rev. Mike Phillips and Rev. Tim Harrell will officiate. Interment will follow in Pine Forest Church Cemetery. Jamie Walker, Blake Miller, Trey Barnard, Eric Inlow, Kevin Salter, and Trampus Freeman will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 2:00-4:00 p.m., at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Christy was born January 3, 1981 in Bainbridge, Georgia. September 23, 2000, she married the love of her life, Wyndell Lavon West, Jr. Christy was a stay-at-home mom. Her three children were her heart. She loved to be outside. Christy loved flowers, any kind. She would stop and pick flowers beside the road. Other's might have called them weeds! She was very artistic. She absolutely loved to color. Christy's family was her world and she will be sorely missed by them and everyone who ever met her. Christy West is survived by her husband, Wyndell Lavon West, Jr.; her parents, Donna Salter Green and Robert "Eddie" Green, Sr.; children, Madison Bailey, Makenna Gracen, and Robert Landon West; sister and husband, Jami Lynne Barnard and Trey; brother and wife, Rob Green and Ericka; Mother and father-in-law, Pam West and Wyndell West, Sr.; brother-in-law and wife, Dallas West and Ashley; nephews, Jaken Green and Dylan Connell; and niece, Harley West. Christy was looking forward to the birth of a niece, scheduled in May, Emma Kate Barnard. She is also survived by her grandparents, Nathan and Lou Salter and May Bell Green.
