Clara Brown Taliaferro Drew, 88, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. A private burial will be held at Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, GA. Mrs. Drew was born May 31, 1920 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Willie Clyde Brown and Gertrude Dollar Brown. She was a homemaker, a school bus driver for the Decatur County School System, and a seamstress for Jack Winter Dress Factory. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cherry Harden Taliaferro, her second husband, William Wayne Drew and her son, William Harden Taliaferro. Survivors include four sons, Earl Taliaferro of Atlanta, GA, Kenneth Steve Taliaferro of Snellville, GA, Cherry Lee Taliaferro of Lilburn, GA, and Jimmy Floyd Taliaferro of Tallahassee, FL; and three daughters, Eleanor Lloyd of Columbia, SC, Julia Jones of Bainbridge, GA, and Myrle Culverson of Bainbridge, GA.
