Clarence Robert Kaufman, Sr. Clarence Robert Kaufman, Sr., age 51, passed away on February 5, 2024 at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Robert was born on December 27, 1972 to his parents, Clarence Stephen Kaufman and Judy Collins Kaufman. He was self-employed in the scrap metal business. He grew up in Cairo, Georgia and at the age of 19, he moved to South Carolina. Robert lived there for 30 years before returning to Bainbridge. He was a self-taught guitarist having been given his first guitar at 14 years old. Robert also played the drums. He was always a leader among his friends. As a child, his friends followed his lead and would even lie on the ground while Robert jumped them on his BMX bicycle. He was a genius with electronics and loved to play tricks on his friends. Clarence Robert Kaufman, Sr. is survived by his son, Clarence Robert Kaufman, Jr. of St Louis, Missouri; his parents, Judy and Bradley Whitaker and Clarence Kaufman of Bainbridge; his sister, Angela Gale Kaufman of Bainbridge; his dog, Khloe; his nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Alisha, Lane, Colton, Luke, Jessica and Victoria as well as his great nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Ethel Keene Collins and Eunice Polfkia; his aunt, Sara “Sadie” Nelson; and his faithful companion, his dog, Riley.
