Services for Clarence Sasser will be graveside at Sasser Cemetery in Whigham, Georgia, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 7:00-8:30 p.m., at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. (Directions to Sasser Cemetery: take U.S.Highway 84 in Whigham, take Old 179 South, turn left on Fred Collins Rd., take a right on Providence Rd., veer right at the Providence Baptist Church, turn right onto Faithful Lane and you will find the cemetery at the end of this short lane.) Mr. Clarence Otis Sasser died May 28, 2011, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, Georgia. Clarence Sasser was born July 3, 1924 in Whigham, Georgia to James Calvin and Ora Glover Sasser. He was married to Treece McElvey Sasser, who preceded him in death. He was a conductor for the Florida East Coast Railroad. Mr. Sasser served in the United States Navy. Clarence Sasser is survived by his daughter: Judith Sasser Anderson and husband, Doil, of Donalsonville, Georgia; two grandchildren: Jeffery Anderson and Jillian Anderson.
